Table and Tablecloth
You can turn a simple wooden table into something quite charming just by adding a lovely tablecloth that completely covers the table or just the center of the table (a runner). A white table cloth with pink and green accents works nicely for Mother’s Day.
Create a centerpiece out of your mother’s favorite flowers in either pink or white. To save money, use a bouquet and divide them among bud vases and then place the bud vases down the center of the table. You may want to add pillar candles in coordinating candle holders.
China, Flatware and Glassware
Mom deserves nothing but the best, but you don’t have to spend a fortune on china. Garage sales and thrift stores often have very cheap pieces and they don’t have to match, they just have to keep within your color scheme. Set out chargers and top them with mix and match floral dinner and salad plates. You can also find nice silver or gold flatware, and unique glassware at thrift stores. Be sure to use simple white linen napkins and a coordinating napkin ring to complete the look.
